By creating an account or using ASCEND, you agree to these terms. Read them. They cover what the app does, what it isn't (a medical device), how subscriptions work, and what each side is responsible for.
01 The service
ASCEND is an AI-powered body transformation tracking app for iOS. It uses camera-based body scanning with AI diagnostics powered by Anthropic's Claude Vision to provide personalized fitness insights, streak tracking, and gamification — including the IRIS coach personality, diamond milestones, and the community leaderboard.
02 Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older to use ASCEND.
- ASCEND is available on iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- You must have authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself.
03 Accounts & authentication
- You may authenticate via Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email + password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Don't share them.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts to game the leaderboard or trial system may be terminated.

Billing & auto-renewal
- All subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Manage and cancel anytime via
iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ASCEND. - Refunds are handled by Apple. See Apple's refund process.
05 AI disclaimer — not medical advice
IRIS is a coaching personality, not a clinician. If you experience pain, dizziness, or any concerning symptoms during training, stop and consult a doctor.
06 Body photo usage
- Photos are used solely for AI body analysis to generate your scan score and IRIS diagnosis.
- Photos are transmitted over HTTPS through our Cloudflare proxy and processed by Anthropic's Claude AI under a zero-retention API policy.
- You retain all rights to your photos. ASCEND does not use your photos to train AI models, sell them, or share them with advertisers.
- Photos are stored locally on your device and can be deleted from inside the app at any time.

07 Acceptable use
By using ASCEND, you agree NOT to:
- Submit photos of other people without their explicit consent.
- Submit photos depicting minors under 18.
- Submit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise abusive.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the AI analysis logic.
- Use the app or its API in any way that could damage, overload, or impair the service.
- Share accounts or use multiple accounts to game subscriptions, trials, or the leaderboard.
08 Intellectual property
- ASCEND, the IRIS coach personality, the wordmark, the app icon, and all related branding are the property of Horna Capital LLC.
- The 3D body model, scoring algorithm, prompts, and UI are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use through the app.
- User-generated content — photos, body data, profile information — remains your property. You grant Horna Capital LLC a limited, revocable license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
09 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ASCEND is provided "as is" and "as available." Horna Capital LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for the accuracy of AI-generated body analysis or for any fitness, health, or appearance outcomes resulting from use of the app.
- In no event will our aggregate liability exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
10 Termination
- By you: delete your account anytime from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to defraud Apple billing.
- Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid. Pending Apple-issued refunds are handled by Apple.
11 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Horna Capital LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
